Terms and Conditions

Rental Policy

At Location des Migrateurs, our goal is to make your experience as smooth, enjoyable, and safe as possible. Below are the terms and policies that apply to renting our outdoor gear.

01. Equipment check

Each item is carefully inspected, cleaned , and tested after every rental.

  • Tents and shelters: dried, aired out, and checked (fabric, zippers, poles, stakes).
  • Cooking and BBQ accessories: cleaned and tested.
  • Outdoor equipment (paddleboards, etc.): inspected and ready to use.
  • Textiles and chairs: cleaned, disinfected, or laundered as needed.

02. General terms

  • The renter is responsible for the rented equipment for the entire rental period.
  • In the event of damage, loss, or breakage, a fee will be charged based on the actual value or the cost of necessary repairs.
  • Cleaning fees may apply if the equipment is returned excessively dirty (up to $50).
  • In case of loss or major damage, a refund equivalent to the supplier’s retail price will be required.

03. Booking and Cancellation

  • Reservation: full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Cancellation more than 21 days before the scheduled date: full refund.
  • Cancellation between 21 days and 72 hours before the scheduled date: 50% credit of the total amount.
  • Less than 72 hours before the scheduled date: non-refundable.

04. Pickup and Return

  • Items can be picked up in Charlemagne or delivered according to the available options.
  • The pickup location is at 5-295 Notre-Dame Street, Charlemagne, Québec, J5Z1H8.
  • Pickup time: between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
  • Return time: before 6:00 PM.
  • Late returns will incur an additional fee of 10% per day.
  • All equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was received.

05. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required for the items, which will be returned after inspection of the equipment.
  • The deposit amount varies depending on the value of the item and will be specified at the time of booking.

06. Cleaning and Maintenance

Please return all items clean and dry.

  • Empty your cooler, clean your grill, and fold the tent if possible.
  • Excessively dirty equipment may incur cleaning fees (up to $50).
  • An inventory list is provided at pickup for all accessory kits.

07. Damage and repair

  • Accidents happen! If any damage occurs, please notify us immediately.
  • We will assess the situation together to find a fair and reasonable solution.

08. Non-liability

The use of rented equipment is the responsibility of the renter.

Location des Migrateurs cannot be held responsible for any injuries, losses, or property damage resulting from the use of rented items.
